As part of a pilot program being funded by Title III, full-time faculty and staff at OCC now have access to LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com), an online training platform featuring thousands of video tutorials and training resources. The pilot, which runs until the end of the year, is part of an initiative to promote and sustain professional development.
The LinkedIn Learning platform enables individuals to acquire new skills via video courses, webinars and workshops taught by industry experts. Learners can browse LinkedIn Learning’s library of more than 16,000 online courses, organized into three popular categories: business, technology and creative. By selecting content that is relevant and impactful to them, users create a personalized learning experience based on their individual needs, skill levels, and goals. Additional content and course recommendations are then curated specifically for them.
Whether your purpose is to learn a new skill, meet a specific professional goal, or explore topics for personal growth, LinkedIn Learning provides convenient on-demand instruction anytime, anywhere. Learn to manage stress, lead virtual meetings, handle a challenging conversation or create a dazzling PowerPoint presentation, right from your computer or mobile app.
