September is Suicide Prevention Month

Minding Your Mind , a national organization dedicated to ending stigma and destructive behaviors associated with mental health issues, will be providing a webinar on the topics of suicide prevention, coping, and the effects of COVID-19 on mental health. This webinar will include combined perspectives of a clinical expert as well as a nationally recognized mental health advocate sharing his lived experiences coping with the mental health challenges he faced during high school and college.

QPR - Question, Persuade and Refer , facilitated by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services. QPR is a simple 3 step process to help save a life from a suicide. With suicide being a leading cause of death and current global circumstances increasing stress for many, it is our goal to ensure our entire campus community is able to both recognize the warning signs that a person may be experiencing a mental health crisis, and is prepared to help.

  • Monday, September 14 • 12:30 - 2:30pm via Zoom
  • Thursday, September 24 • 12:30 - 2:30pm via Zoom
